El Fuerte is a city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. The municipality of El Fuerte is located in the northwestern part of the state of Sinaloa. It offers great natural, historical, architectural, cultural, and deeply rooted Indigenous traditions and attractions, and is well located along the Sea of Cortez–Copper Canyon ecotourism circuit. El Fuerte is now a living mirror of history, where you can see beautiful architecture such as the Municipal Palace, the Plaza de Armas with its attractive wrought-iron kiosk, the Casa de la Cultura, the Hotel Posada del Hidalgo, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church built in the 18th century, the House of the Constituent Congress, the Orrantia Family Mansion, and the historic Old Town.
