Cusco Peru

Cuzco, situated in the Southern Sierras, is among the most frequented cities in Peru. It was formerly the capital of the Inca dynasty and currently serves as the entryway to the Sacred Valley and the Andean capital of Peru. Cuzco radiates charm and magnificence, and it is brimming with character. The heart of Cuzco is the Plaza de Armas, where you can discover the Cathedral and the Compañía de Jesús church, among other notable structures. The city's architecture is an intriguing blend of Spanish Colonial built on Inca ruins, and everything else is a distinctive fusion of Spanish and indigenous influences. Wandering through Cuzco’s picturesque, narrow, cobblestone streets is a source of endless fascination. Cuzco is a constant connection to the past, its streets are filled with vibrant costumes, handicraft shops, impressive Incan ruins, and local flair is omnipresent. Hatunrumiyoc is situated near Plaza de Nazarenas, not far from Plaza de Armas. It is a narrow pedestrian street, renowned for its Inca walls where massive stones are precisely carved to fit together without mud or concrete. You’ll find the masterpiece, a 12-angled stone, about halfway down the street. Cuzco is the most convenient city from which tourists can start visits to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and other Inca sites in the region. The city’s incredible architecture and the awe-inspiring natural surroundings make Cusco a city hard to leave.
