Maspalomas - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain

Maspalomas - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Spain

Maspalomas is a resort town in the south of Gran Canaria, in the province of Las Palmas. The town is made up of the Maspalomas lagoon, its famous sand dunes, and a palm grove, all of which are of great ecological value. The area has a total of 29 beaches and coves, including Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas Beach, and San Agustín Beach, all of which hold the Blue Flag awarded by the European Union. The more upmarket Maspalomas resort, with stylish hotels, luxury residences, and the largest golf course on the island, is separated from Playa del Inglés by a spectacular 400-hectare stretch of dunes, which were declared a nature reserve in 1994. You can only cross the dunes on foot or by camel, making you feel as if you were in a completely different part of the world.
