Torremolinos, Spain

Torremolinos Spain

Torremolinos is a town on the Costa del Sol on the Mediterranean, just west of Málaga. Once a small fishing village in the 1920s, it has been transformed by tourism into a lively seaside resort. Today, Torremolinos is known for its long, clean sandy beaches, wide range of hotels and restaurants, and a huge variety of entertainment, activities and nightlife. In the height of summer it’s especially popular with younger visitors, thanks to its busy and late‑night party scene. The Pimentel Tower, also called the Torre de los Molinos, is the town’s best‑known landmark and dates back to the 14th century. San Miguel Street is the main hub of Torremolinos and effectively an open‑air shopping centre – it’s also said to be one of the busiest streets in Europe.
