Costa Maresme Spain

Maresme is a county on the Catalan Mediterranean coast, between the counties of Barcelonès (to the southwest) and Selva (to the northeast), and also bordering Vallès Oriental to the west. Maresme stretches along the coast, south of the Costa Brava. Long sandy beaches, pine woods, villages on the coast and tucked into the hills for protection from pirates, and modernista mansions where the well-to-do used to spend their summers.
