Maspalomas - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain

Maspalomas - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Spain

Maspalomas is a holiday town in the south of the island of Gran Canaria. The town of Maspalomas is made up of the lagoon of the same name, the sand dunes and the palm grove, all of which are of great ecological value. The area has a total of 29 beaches and coves, including the beaches of Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas and San Agustín, all of which have been awarded the Blue Flag by the European Union. The more upmarket resort of Maspalomas, with stylish hotels, luxury residences and the largest golf course on the island, is separated from Playa del Inglés by a spectacular 400-hectare stretch of dunes, which were declared a national park in 1994. You can only cross the dunes on foot or by camel, making you feel as if you’re in a completely different part of the world.
