Arrival: 00:00 - Departure: 00:00
Tracy Arm is a fjord in Alaska near Juneau (outlet at 57° 46' 40" N 133° 37' 0" W). It is named after the Secretary of the Navy Benjamin Franklin Tracy. It is located about 45 miles (72 km) south of Juneau and 70 miles (110 km) north of Petersburg, Alaska, off Holkham Bay and beside Stephens Passage within the Tongass National Forest. Tracy Arm is the heart of the Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Wilderness, designated by the United States Congress in 1990. Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Wilderness covers 653,179 acres (2,643.32 km²) and consists of two deep and narrow fjords: Tracy Arm and Endicott Arm. Both fjords are over 30 miles (48 km) long and one-fifth of their area is covered in ice. During the summer, the fjords have substantial floating ice ranging from hand-sized pieces to ones as large as a three-storey building. During the most recent glaciated period, both fjords were filled with active glaciers.

Arrival: 07:00 - Departure: 15:00
Juneau is the capital city of Alaska, in the state’s southeastern region, with a population of around 30,000 and an area larger than either Rhode Island or Delaware. Set along the shoreline of the Gastineau Channel and backed by mountains that rise sharply to meet the Juneau Icefield, the city is surrounded by some of the most impressive scenery you’re likely to see anywhere. There are countless appealing attractions here that will easily tempt you to stay longer than a single day. Juneau lets you experience some of the very best of Alaska while still having the comforts of modern life close to hand. You’ll find plenty of welcoming places to eat, lots of interesting sights to explore, and no shortage of shops for a bit of retail therapy.

Day 6
ketchikan, alaska
Arrival: 07:00 - Departure: 13:00
Ketchikan is a city and the borough seat of the Ketchikan Gateway Borough in Alaska, and is the state’s most south‑easterly major settlement. The downtown area is designated as a National Historic District. At the 2010 census it had a population of 8,050, making it the fifth most populous city in Alaska, and the tenth most populous community when census‑designated places are included. The wider borough—which includes suburbs to the north and south along the Tongass Highway (generally regarded as part of Ketchikan, though outside the city limits) and small rural settlements mostly accessible by water—had a population of 13,477 at the same census, with US Census estimates putting the 2019 population at 13,901. Incorporated on 25 August 1900, Ketchikan is the oldest surviving incorporated city in Alaska, as consolidation and unification elsewhere led to the dissolution of other city governments. It is located on Revillagigedo Island, named in 1793 by Captain George Vancouver. Ketchikan takes its name from Ketchikan Creek, which runs through the town and flows into the Tongass Narrows just south‑east of the downtown area. “Ketchikan” derives from the Tlingit name for the creek, Kitschk‑hin, whose meaning is uncertain. It may mean “the river belonging to Kitschk”; other accounts say it means “Thundering Wings of an Eagle”. In modern Tlingit, the name is Kichx̱áan.

Day 7
victoria, british columbia
Arrival: 20:00 - Departure: 23:59
Victoria sits in a lovely waterfront setting at the southern tip of nature-blessed Vancouver Island. It has kept its Commonwealth roots more strongly than almost anywhere else in Canada, and many see it as the most British city in North America. Founded in 1843 as a Hudson’s Bay trading post, its colonial past has been carefully preserved and continuously restored with great care. Alongside this colonial heritage, Victoria is deeply proud of its much older story. The city remains the home of the Lekwungen People, also known as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations, whose culture and history are still very much woven into daily life. Victoria’s historic city centre is a textbook example of how to protect architectural character while keeping everything spotless. Add to that a wide choice of places to eat and drink, a lively nightlife and cultural scene, and excellent shopping. With the mildest climate in Canada and flowers in bloom for most of the year, Victoria is seen as the jewel of the west coast and is fondly known as the City of Gardens. Compact, charming and relaxed, Victoria offers a cheerful, laid-back atmosphere surrounded by stunning natural scenery. It’s no surprise that visitors are drawn here and tend to leave singing its praises.
