Day 1
san francisco, california
Departure: 16:00
San Francisco is a major, vibrant and cosmopolitan city in California. In San Francisco, history and modernity merge to give visitors an unforgettable experience. From Mission Dolores, the city's first stone building or the city’s legendary cable cars to the high-tech Financial District. A trip to San Francisco is sure to leave you with incredible memories. A boat trip is a fantastic way to explore the “City by the Bay.” Explore Fisherman's Wharf, packed with shops, galleries and restaurants offering delicious seafood. Take a stroll down the Golden Gate and admire the views over the bay and the Pacific Ocean, visit the various maritime museums, and, of course, no visit to San Francisco is complete without a trip to Alcatraz, the island prison that once held some of the country’s most infamous criminals, such as Al Capone. If it’s a more relaxed atmosphere you’re after, pass through the grand architecture and flowing lagoon of the Palace of Fine Arts. The Transamerica Pyramid has become the city's most famous landmark. The 260 metre high pyramid structure is located in the heart of the Financial District. Situated between three hills, San Francisco's Chinatown is the largest Chinese settlement outside Asia with pagodas, colourful bunting, decorated balconies and Chinese characters combining with the sounds and exotic aromas of this fascinating area. The Painted Ladies are charming Victorian wooden houses located on the edge of Alamo Square and the Haas-Lilienthal House is a well-preserved gem of a bygone era. San Francisco thrives on diversity and has a contagious energy. This city is magical and everyone should visit here at least once.

Arrival: 00:00 - Departure: 00:00
Tracy Arm is a fjord in Alaska near Juneau (outlet at 57° 46' 40" N 133° 37' 0" W). It is named after the Secretary of the Navy Benjamin Franklin Tracy. It is located about 45 miles (72 km) south of Juneau and 70 miles (110 km) north of Petersburg, Alaska, off Holkham Bay and beside Stephens Passage within the Tongass National Forest. Tracy Arm is the heart of the Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Wilderness, designated by the United States Congress in 1990. Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Wilderness covers 653,179 acres (2,643.32 km²) and consists of two deep and narrow fjords: Tracy Arm and Endicott Arm. Both fjords are over 30 miles (48 km) long and one-fifth of their area is covered in ice. During the summer, the fjords have substantial floating ice ranging from hand-sized pieces to ones as large as a three-storey building. During the most recent glaciated period, both fjords were filled with active glaciers.

Day 7
ketchikan, alaska
Arrival: 09:00 - Departure: 18:00
Ketchikan is a city and the borough seat of the Ketchikan Gateway Borough in Alaska, and is the state’s most south‑easterly major settlement. The downtown area is designated as a National Historic District. At the 2010 census it had a population of 8,050, making it the fifth most populous city in Alaska, and the tenth most populous community when census‑designated places are included. The wider borough—which includes suburbs to the north and south along the Tongass Highway (generally regarded as part of Ketchikan, though outside the city limits) and small rural settlements mostly accessible by water—had a population of 13,477 at the same census, with US Census estimates putting the 2019 population at 13,901. Incorporated on 25 August 1900, Ketchikan is the oldest surviving incorporated city in Alaska, as consolidation and unification elsewhere led to the dissolution of other city governments. It is located on Revillagigedo Island, named in 1793 by Captain George Vancouver. Ketchikan takes its name from Ketchikan Creek, which runs through the town and flows into the Tongass Narrows just south‑east of the downtown area. “Ketchikan” derives from the Tlingit name for the creek, Kitschk‑hin, whose meaning is uncertain. It may mean “the river belonging to Kitschk”; other accounts say it means “Thundering Wings of an Eagle”. In modern Tlingit, the name is Kichx̱áan.
