El Fuerte is a city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. The municipality of El Fuerte is located in the north‑western part of the state of Sinaloa. It has rich natural, historical, architectural and cultural attractions, along with deeply rooted Indigenous traditions, and is well placed on the Sea of Cortez – Copper Canyon ecotourism circuit. El Fuerte is now a living reflection of history, where you can see beautiful architecture such as the Municipal Palace, the Plaza de Armas with its attractive wrought‑iron bandstand, the Casa de la Cultura, the Hotel Posada del Hidalgo, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church built in the eighteenth century, the House of the Constituent Congress, the Orrantia family mansion, and the Old Town.
