ITINERARY
DAY 01: CUSCO - HUYRO (BIKING - CYCLING) (RAFTING - CANOEING)
After breakfast, we'll travel through picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes until we reach Abra Málaga mountain (4350 meters above sea level). We'll then descend on mountain bikes for three hours, passing through rural villages, rivers, orchards, and streams until we reach Huamanmarca. There, if we wish, we can purchase water and snacks before finally arriving in the village of Huyro, where we'll enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, our private tourist transport will take the group to Santa María, where we'll begin the optional rafting excursion. Once the rafting is complete, the group will return to the town of Huyro.
DAY 02: SANTA TERESA – HYDROELECTRIC PLANT - AGUA CALIENTES (ZIPLINE)
The second day of our Inca Jungle Trek begins with an optional zipline activity for those who booked in advance. Participants will be separated from the group for a short time to complete this activity. After the zipline, they will be taken by bus to the hydroelectric plant, where we will meet up with the rest of the group. Participants who do not participate in the optional zipline activity will hike for approximately 3 hours to reach the hydroelectric plant, the meeting point for the entire group. Here, we will have a large lunch. After a break, the journey continues along the route for 3 hours, passing waterfalls, coffee and coca plantations, until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes. The group will be taken to the lodge around 4:00 PM. In the evening, we will all go together to a restaurant for a large dinner and a briefing about the Machu Picchu trip the following day.
DAY 03: AGUAS CALIENTES - INCA CITADEL OF MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
This time we'll wake up around 4:00 am, and at 4:30 am we'll begin our hike to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, a walk of approximately one and a half hours. The goal is to see the sunrise from the Inca site and be among the first to arrive. Afterward, we'll explore the beautiful Machu Picchu with our professional guide, finishing the visit with free time to explore. After visiting Machu Picchu, we'll return to the town of Aguas Calientes and wait for the overnight train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, transportation will take you to Cusco.
